ISP HTTP hijacking

Filed under: tech — zproxy @ 7:17 pm

Your device connects to a known HTTP service. The response redirects it to a private unsolicited upgrade UI.

Basically they deny service, and hijack the service for their benefit.

The only workaround is to not use HTTP 80 and go thru VPN, proxy or tor?

ERR_CONNECTION_RESET

While performing multiple probes, the outgoing port 80 will be denied service.
