Flash For Browsers Discontinued

Filed under: tech — zproxy @ 8:19 pm

Back in 2007 flash was the new cool thing. The ultimate media element within HTML applications. A pre compiled and packaged module of an application. In 2011 flash was enabled on the new flagship Samsung Galaxy S1, with FM radio and sdcard. Today, Adobe confirmed, their one man support team still working on it, will no longer be needed as of 2020.

Cannot trust vaporware can we.

With the news today regarding Flash Player, I’m sure many of you have questions regarding AIR and its future roadmap. Let me start by saying that today’s announcement was not about AIR, and instead focuses entirely on Flash Player and the browser plugin environment. Adobe remains committed to AIR and we believe it continues to be a great desktop and mobile development platform.
